CAE SOFTWARE

We have extensive experience with CAE and have a detailed understanding of finite element analysis (FEA) including the underlying theories on it's development.  We have experience with a variety of commercial FEA codes but currently specialize in the use of ABAQUS and ANSYS analysis software.  Both of these software systems are have extensive capabilities allowing for powerful, accurate, and customizable subroutines to handle a wide range of engineering problems including coupled physics.

For explicit dynamic analysis, our primary tools are ABAQUS and LS-DYNA. Explicit analysis is often chosen for highly non-linear problems involving contact and plasticity such as those experienced during high speed impacts.  Our experience with linear and non-linear engineering mechanics correlated to test data gives us the demonstrated ability to apply the proper physics to the problem and determine an accurate solution.  See the the analysis gallery for some examples.



NUMERICAL & SUPPORT SOFTWARE

Some of the numerical software we use include NASGRO, MathCAD, and MATLAB.  NASGRO is a specialized code used for fracture mechanics and can be used to determine stress intensity factors as well as life from crack propagation due to cyclical loading.  We have developed specialized routines for both MathCAD and MATLAB as a means to provide accurate results and reduce leadtime.  We also have an extensive database of characteristics for almost 300 structural metallic materials and have also developed some of our own specialized proprietary software tools to assess dynamic systems, fatigue, and damage tolerance.

Additional support software typically includes MS Office products for documentation and presentation.  This provides most customers a common platform to share information and leverage off of our results.  With our industry experience, we understand the importance of schedule deadlines and how critical this can be in the current market place and make it our goal to exceed expectations.
